OK, I have talked to a lot of people about this subject and I think I am starting to get it! This subject is getting your baby to sleep... not just through the night, but also for nap times. Over the past few days/nights I am starting to see progress!! It has only taken me almost 6 months to get here, but like I said, I think I am onto something!

Ever since Zack came home from the hospital, Jared and I have always held Zack when it's time to put him to sleep. That adds up to A LOT of hours over the past months of sitting. However, the last two days I have put Zack in his bed when it's nap time and he just turns over and falls asleep. And he doesn't even cry!
I don't want to jinx myself, but I feel wonderful! Also, I must say that I understand why I haven't been able to "let him cry it out" all of this time. It's because when he was in the hospital, I felt like I couldn't do anything when he "needed me" and now that he is home, I think I am over compensating for that! I have come to an understanding over the past few days that I am not helping him now, I am enabling him. But, things are changing!! We are going to TEACH him how to sleep (that sounds so funny!)!!
So thanks for everyone's advice... if you have more, I am always open to hear it!
